Rip City?

Who knew Portland was sometimes referred to as Rip City? I never knew it. Maybe it was just a basketball thing. Last weekend I went to a Portland Trailblazers game, courtesy of my old roommate Cara's employer. When she called me up last week and told me about the free tickets, I jumped on the opportunity.

The game wasn't very good, Portland ended up losing by about 25 points to the Sacramento Kings. We did get to make fun of some people though. The $6 beer and $3 pretzel was hardly worth it though. Isn't it weird how a free ticket actually ends up costing you about $40 (parking, food, gas, etc.)? But I did learn a new nickname for the city of bridges.
